This charming “hippie” town at the foot of Pikes Peak, offers a mix of boutique shopping, spa treatments, delicious food, and breathtaking scenery. Making it a perfect destination for a girls day, whether you are celebrating a special occasion, or just need a break with your girlies, here is the perfect itinerary for a memorable girls’ getaway in Manitou Springs.
Start your morning with some tasty beignets from Rocky Mountain Beignets. Grab a coffee, some beignets and head to the patio where you can people watch as they walk Manitou Ave.
Next take a stroll down Manitou Ave and enjoy the many shops and beautiful scenery.
Main street is lined with many different kinds of shops from boutiques to art galleries. The stores will offer unique and fun items, a perfect place to find a gift or a treat for yourself.
You will most definitely find classic Colorado items, like healing rocks, and tie dye clothing and a little pot. (Its a running joke that when you visit Colorado, you leave with a little pot, and its really a tiny pot.)
Take a break from sightseeing and shopping to get a sweet treat at Goldminers Fudge Shoppe. You can scoop your own candy or have some fudge cut for you. I would recommend the Rocky Road and the Peanut Butter Chocolate, the smallest size is a ¼ lb (4 oz.). That doesn’t seem like much, but it turns out to be the perfect amount and they slice it into a thin piece which is perfect for walking and eating.

After walking and shopping, you’ll want to relax.
Check out SunWater Spa, where you can soak in mineral rich hot tubs, while taking in stunning mountain views. To add to your relaxation, book a massage, facial or yoga class, that will help elevate your experience and leave feeling refreshed.

Take a tour of a Victorian style Castle, that was once a sanitorium run by the Sisters of Mercy. Have afternoon tea and sip on fine teas while snacking on pastries, scones, and finger sandwiches.
End the day at with dinner at Manitou Brewing Company where they offer indoor/outdoor seating and food such as burgers, tacos and wings.
Manitou Springs offers the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and charm for a memorable girls’ day out. Whether you’re soaking in the mineral waters, shopping for one of a kind treasures or indulging in delicious food you’re sure to create lasting memories with your girlies.
Keep in mind that parking can be a challenge on busy weekends. Be prepared to pay for parking and allow extra time to find a spot, especially if you’re visiting during peak tourist seasons.
If you can’t find parking (or get stage fright and can’t parallel park on main street) there is a small parking lot on Canon Ave, in March of 2025 it cost $6.50 for two hours. This lot is right next to the Penny Arcade and it will take you right to Manitou Ave.
